But there are times on the court where the offense actually looks really well coached. Even in the second season. The Maryland game year 1…a NCAA top 5 seed Maryland team, we run them off their home court.
The talent in the second season is so, so bad lol. But they run some decent sets.
I’m not going to try to do some revisionist thing with Stallings. He and Barnes effectively killed the program for a decade - moreso Barnes, and Stallings sleeping at recruiting trips and hiring an all time bad staff was bad, and him cursing out his team while Jeter was injured on the floor is such an (in retrospect) hilarious clip, and the only games in my life I actively rooted for Pitt to lose were in Stallings year 2 because I was convinced if he went like 3-15 we would bring him back…
But if you needed to pick Stallings or Capel if your life depended on it to win one game with the same roster? One game???
