Hire a guy like Bob Mckillop for 5 years. He's been in ACC country his whole career and has been successful. In those 5 years B Knight gets experience somewhere else and when Mckillop is ready to retire we hire Brandin as the head coach.

Would anybody have a problem with this? I know it would be hard to get Mckillop to leave because he's been at Davidson since 1989 but I really think this is one of the best situations with the lowest risk.

There is stronger likelihood of hiring Scott McKillop.

Why does anybody care if Brandin Knight is ever coach? No offense to him, but grooming him to be coach today, tomorrow or ever is not a priority and shouldn't be.

Can't see it happening but McKillop is really good. You just worry that since he is older he might not be able to fully see a 2 or 3 year rebuild all the way through if it comes to that.

Then if Knight comes in and we have another rebuild, that's a long stretch of actual mediocrity to try to recover from.

The Brandin Knight story should end right now...he will NOT be the HC @ Pitt in my lifetime.

Let's see where we are in another week. ANYTHING could happen. This IS Pitt. We've screwed up easier coaching searches.
