She's been battling this for some time. I believe she was diagnosed here at PITT, but not entirely sure of that.Met her a few times and she was always very kind , hope she is winning her battle

She's a very nice woman - very spiritual and upbeat. Hope things turn out well for her.Years ago I thought was in remission, been reading on her and this since I saw the tweet from 5 months ago , breast cancer came back , but she seems so upbeat , incredible attitude for sure
Or the coaches who preceded her.She did a a great job at Pitt.A job that none of the coaches that have followed her have come close to equaling.
That’s true as well.Good point.Or the coaches who preceded her.
I met her once when she was scouting at the New York State women's tournament and exchanged a few emails thereafter. Yes, she is nice.
Most successful women's bball coach in Pitt history. Made me pay attention to Pitt women's hoops. Dont know what happened towards the end but she was kinda the first to have a whole team transfer. Now, everyone does it.She retired from KSU recently.
I had the pleasure of interacting with Agnus quite a few times. I was a student when she broke through and got the team to the tournament for the first time. Agnus certainly rubbed some people the wrong way, but I don't think I've ever seen a coach who was more emotionally invested in her players than those tournament teams she had.
She was a great ambassador for Pitt and women's basketball. I think even if Pitt is somehow able to reach that level of success again, they wouldn't have the fan support that Agnus did, just because she was such a great PR person for her own program.
There's a few plausible theories about why things fell apart for her here. IMO the simplest explanation is that she was able to turn a couple weak recruits into very good players and then convinced herself that she could sustain that when she definitely could not. Zellous is potentially the best WBB player we've ever had, and I believe she barely had any offers at all out of HS.Most successful women's bball coach in Pitt history. Let's not try to rewrite history. She wasn't retained at Pitt because the team wasn't winning anymore. Especially when Pitt was able to host a tournament game and the team didn't make the tournament.I don't follow them as much , was it asshat Pederson that ran her off? HORRIBLE AD WHO BUCKY TOOTH hired twice!!!

Yeah, you can tell that some people paid no attention at the time and have no idea what happened, but hey, maybe we can blame it on some administrator that we don't like for running off a successful coach.
After making the NCAA tournament in 07, 08 and 09 here are Pitt's records in the following four seasons:
09-10: 16-15, 5-11
10-11: 14-17, 5-11
11-12: 8-22, 0-16
12-13: 9-21, 0-16
For god's sake, she did the double Stallings! In her 9th and 10th seasons on the job. She is a great lady, but she had to go. Had to. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.
Hoping someone can answer this. Neither’s been discussed enough.I can't make that assessment, nor care to , why did Wannstedt and Dixon have to go?

They hosted and played in it.Beat James Madison in the first round and lost to Tennessee in the second round. That was in 2007.Let's not try to rewrite history. I recall folks saying that things started going downhill when she lost her top assistant.
I wish her the best.

She used to address the crowd after games.
