Definitely not impressed. Fat, slow and not at all athletic. Could be the next Haughton. Ontario Lett has some explaining to do

There were full game videos available earlier but the www.psblive.com website no longer has links to them. Somebody had posted a different website. Maybe they can post it again.

I've said all along, Rozelle is not a savior. He is a very big body who will provide minutes, fouls and take up a lot of space. I doubt he ever starts here, but he will provide a replacement for Uchebo, Randall and Haughton. He boxes out better than anyone on the current team.

He's similar to the two wide-bodies Georgia Tech plays, or Anya without the freakish wingspan which makes BeeJay a shot blocker. Nobody has hyped him as anything more than that.

He's depth to give Young a breather at 5 and maybe a little more against big front lines. He's what you get as a juco big. He went up against a 7-ft juco going to Clemson twice and badly outplayed him both times.

Yeah I saw the full games and thought he looked pretty good. Definitely not a savior, but nowhere close to a Haughton. Active, rebounded, lots of coordination. Interested in seeing the new highlights, usually they make a guy look better than he is.

Were the films from when he weighed 400 pounds or now at 310 or so. Regardless, why does Ontario have some splainin to do. The kid hasn't even enrolled yet and you have written him off as a waste.

wbrpanther--I believe you are correct. There are some old u-tube videos out there of Nix from H.S Sr year and/or first year of JUCO before he lost significant weight and was about 400 lbs. I strongly suspect those are what Hailpitt has seen.

I watch youtube. There were no dates associated with the video. Perhaps the video was pre-make over for Nix. I'll clam down. Ontario, if you are out there--sorry man!

I would not say "savior" but

I think people have higher expectations for him than what you noted.

I agree on your general projection - a big body to provide some minutes and fouls, that likely will never start or play extensively.

I don't see to many people saying he is a "savior" but I see A LOT of people just plugging him in for 15 to 20 minutes a game "to let Young play PF."

He could lose 200 pounds and he still has some clear limitations - short arms, no real explosiveness ...

Even slimmed down he isn't going to get them back into the high hedge game, and is going to struggle against most D1 starters at C or PF.

That is par for the course. People are quick to right him off ? How do you know if he is a savior of the program or how he will compete against D 1 centers? Why do peole here have high expectations for a recruit until he signs then the negative s come out.Someone please explain that mindset to me.

Can we at least let him hit the floor before we say he can't play. And even at the best programs one player is never "THE SAVIOR" of the program. You need a class !!!! Look at Pitt's womens team if you need an example.
