Well, scorching the nets vs. cupcackes or getting crushed by talent.
I still think we make it, but too many more stinkers like this and we'll be looking at another NIT bid.
Damn. Trying hard to find someone to blame other than jd and tough games coming up
not to panic but this upcoming FS game is important, they better win the games they are supposed to win or another NIT.
I don't think there is a need to panic. It might be time to reset our expectations though. Pitt was an 8-10 team in the ACC last year. I was hoping we could go 10-8 this year but that might be far to optimistic.
We have to at least split the next two games against FSU & Clemson.
At Notre Dame is a good win, but this may turn out to be a bad loss depending on how NC State does down the stretch.

We need to split Clemson and FSU and beat both Virginias to go 3-3 in the next third.
Then 4-2 in the last third to go 11-7.
I think this team will go 10-8 and barely get in........but maybe that's good. Rather be an 11 or 12 than an 8/9.
This team really has no choice but to split the next 2 games. This was a very bad loss for our NCAA chances as it put is behind schedule meaning we can have no more WTF games and have to steal a game or 2.

Louisville
Duke
@UNC
@Syracuse
Virginia
Those are five games remaining in which we will be underdogs. We have to win one of those to make up for the NCSU loss.
Then win the five games we'll be favored (or pick 'em) in:
VT
@VT
@GT
@FSU
@WF
For each game in the second group that we lose... we'll have to win one in the first group to make up for it.
After watching them play like this twice in less than a week, I wonder if it's even possible to win another 6 games to get us to 10 wins. I don't see it.
