But I think we win tonight by 20 or more. Back to our "winning formula" of a) leading at the half and b) scoring over 70 points.

I know that, with the exception of the Miami game, the recent results Pitt has had would not lead one to believe my statement above. However, I think that whatever quintet we put out on the floor tonight, those 5 young men are going to kick a$$ and take names. It'll be like the VT game. Shots will drop; rebound advantage; lots of assists; manageable number of turnovers; 4, maybe 5 Panthers in double-digit scoring; Zoo rocking; DT and his son high-fiving; NTOP will post Cliff Notes to the free board; and PittPoker will refrain from using ANY CAPITAL LETTERS in his posts! Oh, and the "game day" thread will be maybe 2 or 3 pages long instead of 9.

I think it'll either be a blowout win or an ugly, painful, no-effort loss like against GW last year. No way would we win a very close game, I dont think.

I think you'll know in the first 5 minutes whether we will win or not.

Pitt played tough down the stretch in Miami and the ND game both road games. If they can hang around I wouldn't worry .

O'k, I know we were routinely scoring in the 80's back when we were in our cupcake portion of the schedule, but how many times have we had 4 or 5 guys in double figures in a game. I know I could look it up, but I'm too lazy. I know any number of posters could probably give a good estimate off the top of their heads.

My guess, I can see 4 guys in double figures a few times, don't know about any instances where we may have had 5.

Pitt plays better on the road. JP agreed with that on the pregame. It'll be a dead atmosphere tonight and Pitt struggles in gaes like that.

This team is a LOT better than their past performances. There's a lot of negative comments as of late and deservedly so. However, I still have faith that Coach Dixon can right this ship. Go Pitt!

It better be a big win or Jaime will need to start finding the money to enter the CBI again because this team will negatively run the table if they don't win tonight.

Well, if JD really wanted to shake up things, he could have Damon at PG, Chris at SG, Cam at SF, Sheldon at PF and Ryan at C. Leave 0,1, and 2 on the bench for awhile and see what develops . . .
Moe that would be very interesting to see that line-up. I,for one, would be okay with that. I don't know what to think about tonight. I am worried that if we don't start well, and with the current attitude issue, we just tank. Or we could come out hot and pull a VT style blowout. I got to be honest, I have no idea which Pitt team shows up tonight!

Moe, I took Luther and Jones on my DraftKings team tonight. Just a hunch...or, it could be gas... #H2P

I've been saying that this game isn't a must win, but it's definitely a can't lose. If Wake comes in and beats us on our own court, the wheels are officially off. I think we'll win, don't get me wrong. But if we don't, then even the most hyperbolic criticisms will have a ring of truth.

OK - so let's see how I did, going "out on a limb":

Well, we didn't win by 20, but we did lead at the half and scored more than 70 pts (2-1)
The starting five didn't kick a$$ and take names (0-1)
Shots will drop? Well, to a degree, yes, but I will call that an "incomplete" (0-0)
Rebound advantage? 58-35 Check (1-0)
Lots of assists? 20 Check (1-0)
4, maybe 5 Panthers in double-digit scoring? 4 (JRob, Artis, Young and Jones) Check (1-0)
Zoo rocking? Not that I heard on TV . . . (0-1)
DT and his son high-fiving? I'm gonna say "yes"! Check (1-0)
NTOP posting his Cliff Notes on the Free Board? We'll see . . . incomplete (0-0)
PittPoker not using CAPS? Nope, but he only did once, that I saw. Pretty good from him! (0-1)
Game Day Thread 2-3 pages long instead of 9? Fuhgetaboutit!! It was 10 if you count goalieman's. (0-1)

Overall score: (6-5) Needed OT; just like our Panthers . . .
