Yeah holgy new this wvu team was going to be really bad. They were never making a bowl this season. Them taking so many jucos means that your always having to take more or your really inexperienced
You mean he didnt have a totally awesome QB waiting in the wings? WVU with or without Holgy has had about 10 QBs better than most QBs we've had since Marino.
Except the 4 returning starters, a future nba first rounder, snd role playing frosh
Chains in my "opinion" Holgy knew he was leaving Motown for a year and a half before he left. His effort on the recruiting trail left a lot to be desired the last two years.He knew the power people wanted him gone so he left Wvu's Cupboard like Old Mother's!I liked Holgy personally and we frequent the same fine Establishments around the area but it was time for him to get out of Dodge. Wvu is one bad team this year!

Holgs knew it was time to move on. He had a great QB the last two years and knew it would be a rebuild this year. Also take note of how many assholes on last years WVU roster moved on or were asked to by the new coach. Holgs didn’t mind some bad apples because you need players to compete and sometimes you take those types of athletes.
This new coach will have a rough year and frankly next year might be just as tough because it’s hard to jump Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, Baylor and TCU. Not to slight Iowa State also.

Recruiting kids to WVU is getting harder and harder. The Big12 move cut off their FL pipeline and all of they're not doing well in any of their old recruiting territories either.
Nehlen took 3 years and then all of a sudden he snuck up on people with a senior squad and 2-3 superior players. It can happen for coach Brown. The only difference is the conference is tougher versus the late 80’s and 90’s for Nehlen. Miami Pitt and PSU but the bulk of those teams had easier schedules and none of that cross country bull shit Big 12 travel
Neal Brown is going to be successful at WVU in a few years and then move on to an SEC school and have a great career. Going to be a tough few years to start though.
I could have seen him at FSU had the timing been a little better with Taggart and all.
