...and I'm not sure what Lunardi is smoking.

Prior to yesterday's game, he had Pitt as a 10-seed.

Then Pitt beats Syracuse, and he moves them to "last four in" and in Dayton. How does that happen?

He's the only bracketologist that moved Pitt *DOWN* after the win yesterday. Almost all have us in.

The ACC won't get only 5 teams..... Pitt is in... Lunardi is stoned.

Yeah unfortunately based on all the hate Lunardi is giving us I can see the committee getting partially brainwashed by that blowhard and putting us in Dayton.
On TV, just a minute ago, Lunardi said Pitt is in.... but MAY fall to Dayton.

MAY, but I really don't think we even fall to Dayton. Pitt's resume is much, much better than almost every other team on the bubble that is being considered.

Seems like Lunardi is changing his tune based on his audience. When talking to Southern California folks, he is downplaying Pitt. But on TV just now, he said Pitt is in.

He can't be taken seriously at all. He had us as a 10 seed before the Syracuse game, we beat them and he moves us to last 4 out, then as we our losing big in the 2nd half he is on ESPN Radio claiming we are most likely not in. Then he goes on national tv and says maybe Dayton.

Again, he needs to get some sleep.

At this point I'm pretty sure Lunardi is just saying stuff and moving his brackets around enough to drive traffic. Then he'll make his final bracket right before the selections are made and it'll be much more accurate.

Probably. I'd still like to hear this interview for myself.

He just isn't that accurate.
Maybe in terms of "who is in the 68" he's not terrible, but with seeding... not so much.
-there are a lot of other "official" bracketologists who smoke him, because he's interested in driving rating (espn's) and as a result does controversial stuff to drive viewership/readership.

(it's not unlike the political primaries)

I want Dayton and Wednesday. If that happens I'm going. Tuesday would be tougher to swing.

So what? Wednesday Night prime Time is better than Thursday at noon, IMO. It's not like they're going to run the table to the F4 and this will hold them back.

I'm just saying I want a game that I can physically attend.

Match up doesn't matter because like you said, it isn't like we are making the Final 4.

Its sad we have to hope for a 10 seed with the possibility of not making the field when years ago we were looking at top 5 seeds.

A 5 seed means top 17-20 team. A 10 seed means a top 37-40 team. The average scoring margin differential between them is relatively small--maybe 3-4 points more for a 5 seed vs a 10 seed. A 10 seed would typically beat a 5 seed if the game were on the 10 seeds home court and not neutral. It's not really a big difference--except in our minds.
