I will be very disappointed if the new coach is:

Stallings or Greenberg. Who is on your "disappointment list"?
Stallings, Greenburg, top my disappointed list.

Originally, there were very few that I would consider a great upgrade to Dixon. However, I could see that Jamie lost his fire over the past few seasons.

Now, I am hoping for someone to inject some enthusiasm to the program. Recruiting must improve. Scheduling might also need to change a bit, too.

So far, I would not be disappointed with Enfield, Drew, Keatts, Darner and Lonegran. I am also interested in hearing why Hurley has not gathered much interest. I think that he may have been a good candidate.

I would love Stallings but only because I actually watch basketball and can appreciate the program he has built at Vandy.

I love the people who are anti Lonergan. Have any of you ever watched a game he has coached in? Likely not is my guess.

And if the issue is they are retreads or older coaches, how did similar hires work out for Oregon and Oklahoma? Altman and Kruger had been around the block with modest success before taking over those programs and taking them to big heights.

Vandy (and practically all of their fans)/is thinking about firing Stallings because of even worse results than Jamie over the past four years.

If Stallings or Greenberg or Lonergan are hired. This new AD would have a lot of panther fans raising a few eye brows.

You never let a proven coach go or make it easier for him to leave. Unless you have a more proven coach with a better track record than the one that left

I will take a chance on someone with energy and great potential and get out of Dixon's deal if he wants to leave. However, many of the names floated are the opposite. They are proven to be average to below average coaches who would worsen Pitt's situation. Many would be an absolute disaster.

Something made Dixon want to leave. I don't believe for one min the fans caused it. Especially, since he already turned down TCU three years ago

Jamie wasn't having fun any more. He was buckling under the pressure that his own early success placed on him.
He also didn't want to listen to any suggestions, as if the 1st 8 years gave him a pass for the last 5.

Lon Kruger has had a hell of a lot more than moderate success. Final Four with 2 different schools, won 30 games at UNLV, NBA head coach.

Lon Kruger's successes dwarf anything Jamie Dixon has accomplished.
