He may be young, but if Coach K believes he is ready then I trust his assessment. Coach K is one of the few coaches I feel has integrity and wouldn't push him if he wasn't a quality option. Scheyer has won a National Championship, so he knows what it takes to build a winner. He has been recruiting in the ACC footprint, so he already has inroads where most other candidates do not. He knows Coach K's system, and how to implement it which bodes well. Despite being young, this could be a blessing in disguise as we would be able to pay less for him and he may stay loyal because we gave him his first shot. Is it a slam dunk hire? No, but considering where we are, he might just be the right person to turn this program around and inject some life into the fanbase.
