I was TN Panthers on the only Sokol board. Jim Snyder took that name on the new board when working for Rivals when it was headquartered in Brentwood, TN.

OMG that guy had the worst posts to read. I felt like he was writing like he was from the 1800's. It went on and on and I didn't understand much of what he was writing.

Remember Goldbergfan? He hated SMF. There was mvk112, QuitCallingMeWanny.

I thought that dude was awesome! (Atlas Shrugged guy). I think we was an undergrad or grad student at the time. QuitCallingMeWanny was a blast from the past.

The recruiting updates back then from Harry were nice because it was tough to get good recruiting information on Pitt at that time. He made Aamir Dew seem like the next great RB. 🙂

Long before message boards, I sat with my grandpa and we laid $1.50 per minute or something t like that to listen to a phone message on an actual home phone for you young kids, that gave rumors about possible Pitt recruits. That’s was like 1990.

Another interesting tid bit about how crazy my family is. My grandpa ordered the Pitt Gazette and Tribune through the mail so every day we would get like a 3 day old newspaper. For like 25 years. I miss my grandparents❤️

There was a poster Brian2001 who was a huge Walt Harris fan way back when that drove me nuts. I have come to appreciate Vadar for what he is. He toned down the rhetoric and hyperbole and now sticks more to giving the information and let the reader decide. I like that. SteeCurtain was one of my least favorites too. And that damn Chris Peak. What a jerk!!!

But looking back.....walts agent was right in many ways.
