The refs were really terrible. Our section yelled at the refs all game. Hard to imagine they reviewed both Nate and JC plays and no call.
He made the throw that should've tied the game. Too bad that was Orndoff's final act in a Pitt uniform.
Give Northwestern credit. They won the game. They played well, we didn't.

If Peterrman does not throw god-awful interception into double coverage on the two yard like we win.. If Conner just reaches his arms out with the football on the 4th and goal dive, we win..hey, this if game is fun...it makes schitting the bed in a bowl game, once again, so much more enjoyable..
If Aston doesn't slip and fall down untouched at the 1, PITT is cruising at 10-0. Lots of ifs....
Once the Aston play happened, I had a terrible feeling for the rest of the game. My gut told me that some Pitt play would ensue on 4th down, and bam, Connor needlessly jumps, losses the ball and gets stuffed short. Then 99 yards later Pitt is battling up hill all game.
If Pitt goes up 10-0 there, I truly feel that Pitt wins the game, with a few close moments, but wins by 10-17 points. It was a total momentum swing that Pitt did not recover from.
How about the 1st drive, Pitt gets inside the 30 and QH drops the ball and turns it into 2nd and 17 or whatever it was. Result a FG instead of a TD.
Pitt was 43 out of 52 for Redzone TD's going into yesterdays game, best in NCAA, but yesterday was the worse redzone performance by any team in a long time.
I love Narduzzi, but when a team comes out that sloppy and has miscues that had not occurred all year, then blame needs to be placed on the coaches 1st, then obviously the players.
Miscues not normally made:
-Aston falls
-Connor stopped on 4th and 1, lose with ball
-Peterman RZ interceptions
-Ohrndorf dropped TD pass to tie game
-QH muffed handoff on 1st drive and then fumble to give a gift 3 pts
-Dropped interception that would have stopped NWs FG after the QH fumble

Aston slipping...Nate's pick at the goal line...getting a correct spot on the NU 4th down catch that was obviously 1/2 yard short etc. There were lots of things that probably would have lead to a win
yeah, if the guy from the Ravens slips and falls on the one at the one minute mark first and goal instead of scoring the Steelers don't make the playoffs..
Obviously it was the coaches that get all the credit that AB scored on that play just as it was Narduzzi's fault that his players fell down and made a bad read inside of the five.
ANDDDDD.... and it goes without saying, since you are already clearly a moron, but the thread is about our starting qb getting hurt. Not the refs. The refs were bad and missed a TD. I dont care about the win or loss, I loved the season, and already posted a thank you post to Narduzzi and the team. Message board clowns are you, that try to attack any positive person. You are flat out a loser. I care so little about your opinion, that your message actually makes me want to be more positive to piss off losers like you.
