Its that he has not "played up" to the level of better teams. Clearly, the 3 most talented teams we've played this year are ND, UNC, and Miami. I dont think Iowa is any better than us. I dont care that they beat a bunch of crappy BTW teams plus Ind and Md. ND, UNC, and Miami have superior talent and there is no shame at all on losing those games but with all 3 at home, it was discouraging to see us completely blown out so early and look like we don't even belong on the same field.
In all 3 games, it was over by halftime where we trailed by 3 scores in each. I dont know the percentages but my guess is you only have about a 5% chance to win when trailing by 3 scores at half. The crowd never really had a chance to enjoy a competitive game.
To Pitt's credit they fought hard in the 2nd half but make no mistake, the better team won those games. Again, there's no shame in that. Duzz just needs better players. This season he has proven he can take what should have been a 3-9 or 4-8 team without Conner into something we can be proud of but Miami, ND, and UNC just have too much talent to overcome.
