If Toledo can have a vertical passing game, why can't we?

this is the thought that came into my mind last night while watching a little of the byu/toledo game. you can't tell me that their skill guys at qb and wr are that much better than ours. it is scheme, not personnel...all the jet sweeps are fun, but maybe it is time to reinvent ourself and actually throw a couple down the field, even if it means we go three and out a couple times.

Ur either a running team or ur a passing team,Pitt is a run first team that's just what they are

run first teams can still complete a pass 11 yards down the field once in awhile. i can count on one hand how many times that has happened in the first four games.

Their defense gave up over 50 points to a team that was 1-3, and was gassed at the end. They should have run the ball more to give their defense a break.

This isn't really a tough question. Pitt has no real deep threats, and a QB they don't believe can consistently make deep throws.

It's not JUST mindset or philosophy.

To be fair their 3 losses were to Utah, UCLA, and WVU all by a FG or less.

Last nights game was by far the worst I saw them play the year.

It shouldn't stay that way, they need to recruit QBs and WRs and balance the offense so they can do both comfortably.
