You can't win games. I was excited for Whipple to come here after suffering through Watson's hapless passing game, but I'm starting to think I would rather run over people with two big backs. Our anemic run game is very concerning in year 2. Watching our O-Line on 4th and goal at the one-yard line, they did not fire off the ball, they stood up and then tried to block...that doesn't cut it in short yardage situations....maybe in the zone blocking scheme, but not when you need one freaking yard.
Narduzzi needs to hire a run game coordinator who's sole job is to average greater than or equal to 5 yards per carry, and mandate that Whipple run a balanced offense 50 / 50 run pass. If Whip doesn't like it, don't let the door hit him in the ass on the way out. I know Duzz is hands off with Whip, but we need some balance. Frankly, I'm tired of whatching 40+ passing plays per game.
