Illinois after trailing by 15 at the half now totally smoking NW by 16 after a massive 2nd half run. What is most interesting to me is that Demonte Williams of the Illini was a career 28% shooter from 3. This year somehow he is shooting damn near 70% from 3 which easily leads the country. That is hard to fathom. We need to hire the guy that was working with him since last season to work with our guys asap.

Northwestern with just 2 made field goals and 13 points in the whole second half.
And I thought our 5 FG's and 18 points in the first half against Syracuse was bad.
That was the wildest half of basketball that I can recall seeing recently, Illinois was +40!!! in the second half after doing nothing in the first.
I will say though that I can't fathom Collins' substitution patterns at all, he will play Kopp, Audige, and Nance no matter what the situation but leave Young and Berry chained to the bench even though Audige is just garbage and Kopp can't hang against athletic teams. It's almost as if he's committed to playing his worst statistical lineups.
