I think the only thing we know for certain is that you'll complain about whoever is hired.
The Public Relations rule of thumb is that you release unpopular info on Friday afternoons so no one sees it- why would Pitt intentionally Orchestrate that timing with an OC announcement
Yeah, the only way that announcing something on a Friday afternoon is "smart politically" is if you are about to announce something that no one is going to like.
I find it amazing that the info has been kept under lock 'n key -- not just at Pitt, but at both ends.

Which in no way changes the fact that making an announcement like that on a Friday afternoon would be stupid. If it was so important to have something done and announced for a big recruiting weekend then it should have been done and announced this afternoon.
I don't like how Pitt handles these OC hires. Pretty stupid to wait this long in my opinion. During the LOI event we will have another OC who stands at the podium announcing he hasn't been there long enough to make an impact on recruiting. Canada's part last year during the event was just dumb! I think he talked about Chris Clark or another transfer. It was so stupid that I forgot exactly what he said. Just remember how awkward it was.
Agreed that was bad!! MHO No one has been hired up to this point ...only focus at this point is recruiting.....offers out ??, who knows..tooo quite / no leaks, strange . Beginning to wonder What is going on and or if a lot of people can keep quiet down at the PITT Complex !!

For sure. As for me, I am too old to engage in all this intrigue. When Duzz gets his man he will announce it. At that time I will know and that is fine by me.
