Not that I'm particularly optimistic, or pessimistic, I'm just interested in seeing how this plays out. I don't see any reason to freak out in the middle of the conference schedule, I'll wait till the season is over before trying to assess it.

Robinson can be a good PG, but he is a poor shooter and pretty passive. Poor shooters go 0-7 when they have a bad game. Will he go into a shell, or keep his head up and fight to finish his career on a high note?

Some people think Artis and Young have NBA talent. I'd like to see them prove it on a consistent basis. They can score but are they good players? Can Young play smart, or is he going to continue trying to put the team on his back and dribble into double teams? Sterling Smith can shoot it, maybe what he needs is for Young to find him with a pass once in a while. Will Artis make any kind of effort to play defense and not make careless turnovers?

Most of all, can Dixon get this team to fight back? Until last year I never really saw him lose his team. You can scoff at the CBI championship, but that was a lousy team that didn't quit and had enough pride to win the thing they were playing for. I don't have much of an opinion about what happened at the end of last season because I didn't see it. I was in Scotland for the end of the season losing streak and was unable to see any of it, so I really don't know what happened and don't have much emotional scar tissue from it. What I did see was the NIT loss and I found it pretty shocking. I hope that was an aberration and not an unalterable direction to Dixon's coaching career.

I'm realistic, I know this team has it's flaws. But I also think it's a much better roster than last year and is capable of being in the tournament if the effort is there. I know Dixon will not lose his focus, but can he keep his main guys from doing the same?

Need to go 4-4 down the stretch to make the Dance.

I'm totally with you on this, JS. It will be very interesting and entertaining to watch how this team and coach respond to adversity. I'm looking forward to it and will sit back, relax and watch.
