In the final minute of the game, I was watching how the players were conducting themselves on the bench. While Gavin was slamming his helmet, I found it interesting that Nate seemed to be lecturing Poppi. While Poppi wanted nothing to do with the conversation and didn’t appear to be even making eye contact, Nate seemed to be arguing that Poppi either ran a wrong route or didn’t read the defense well and should have cut in front of that safety on the last interception.
I’m sure the players were frustrated just as many of the fans were but I thought interesting as it seems when Eli is with the receivers, they are always dapping each other up and often Eli is the one taking the blame. I though Yarnell sailed the last pass high but he seemed adamant he was the one in the right. It probably was just a heat of the moment reaction but also something that makes me wonder if he has WR1 in the game or more time and experience with these receivers and that gets caught leading to a winning score, us fans are feeling very different at this point.
