Is it just me or has it suddenly become a great time to be a Pitt fan again? I have to say after the UCF game, if you would have told me we could clinch a birth in the ACC title game with a win at Wake I would have called you insane. This is some great football by both the team and the coaches. Yesterday was probably the best overall team game I have seen Pitt play against a decent team, when it actually meant something, in many years. Again kudos to the team and HCPN and staff.
It gets better though, I am equally excited with our new basketball coach and the young players he has brought in, in such a short period of time. We are off to a great start and these players are only going to get better. Coming out of thr dark ages for our program, I have great optimism for our future. I don't know how many ACC games we will win, but I can't wait for Coach Capel to get us a few bigs to make the team complete.
I think AD Heather deserves alot of credit for extending HCPN and with a win next week he will reward her for her decision. If we finish strong and play well against Clemson and in our bowl it should pump up recruiting a bit. I think 2019 could be a very good year for our Panthers. Obviously, even tho it is very early in the Capel era, I believe Heather hit a homerun with that hire. I think Heather just gets it, and I hope she stays here a while. Time will tell, but I believe that now and in the near future, it is a very good time to be a Panther fan. Let us go to Winston-Salem next week and run them over! H2P!
