Is there any sport where coaching is more important/complex than football?

I was thinking about Narduzzi and his staff getting ready for the season, and contemplating how much goes into coaching football versus the other major sports. I mean, you can be a baseball manager and do very little when your ace is throwing zeros. Hockey...sure, there are designed plays and a system but once in place, think there are far fewer adjustments. Basketball...sure, coaching is very important, maybe second to football, but a few top recruits and off you go.

Wonder if other Lair folk feel the same or disagree. Please note the only "coaching" I've ever done was Little League baseball and some youth basketball, so my opinion is just that, and may be a bit uninformed.

Looking forward to the season...H2P.
