is this the worst Pitt team in the last 12 years?

Worst since 98' in my opinion. 2005 team actually looked very good in a few games against lesser teams. This team has largely been a total disaster. YSU and Duke were lucky wins. Rice might be the worst team we've played in 10 years. There has been almost nothing of redeemable value about this team. In 2005 Palko started out awful but then got better. We were excited for 2006. 2006 was a decent team that got tripped up by injuries and an odd schedule.
This team just isn't good. Very few young players to be excited about. The star players for this team are Hall, Idowu, Lopes and Whitehead (who is likely leaving). I never remember not looking forward to a Pitt season until Chryst's 2nd year. I had only mild interest for this season. I'm starting to dread next season. Barring something crazy, I'll be walking down the ramps out of Heinz after Miami, at my lowest point as a Pitt fan since 72-0. Even the 96 team won 4 games against a much tougher schedule.

The 5 Star Qb getting hurt didn’t help - but all teams have injuries.
Have to see how Pitt looks next year after this rebuilding time. There are always more players - coach has to improve them. Give Duzz another year.
What’s disturbing is the complete collapse of BBall. Pitt is the bottom of the barrel in the ACC - which is a disgrace. Gallagher was bust in his first AD hire - which is a shame figuring Peterson was a joke. Hope this new gal can get it done. Not an easy task. It starts at the top

This team can't tackle. The kid who returned the opening kickoff back for a TD was aided by a ton of missed tackles. That was only the beginning of a night of totally pitiful tackling. How many guys took wrong angles ???????? I was always taught that a basic for defense was good tackling. Why does Duzz not burn some coaches butts to see that this is corrected?
Let’s not kid ourselves thinking we had a 5 star quarterback. After four years of not being able to keep a starting qb position I think he can no longer be considered 5 stars. In reality maybe a three star qb.

Bottom left be is Pitt has poor QB development
Similar to 96. 95 was the worst since 72, like below Temple/BC level for the eastern urban schools. 96 and this season is more like at that Temple level than below it.
