Is Urban to MSU really a thing?

I think the difference is that their two big-money alums (Gilbert, Ishbia) contribute heavily to their program while our big-money alums (Tepper, “Cuban”) do not. IIRC, Ishiba personally pledged upwards of $30M for Mel Tucker’s contract.
He’s as no interest in coaching again, besides he lives In Dublin. Has businesses there, Shelly is the head of Nursing at Wexner. He’ll never take that job.
We visited family in Columbus over the summer and checked out the new downtown Dublin district. His 7-0 Bar/Restaurant is very nice. Great area.

I'd say no way, he could have any job he wants including his old one at OSU, but I guess if they can throw 100 mill at a nobody like Tucker, anything is possible. That hire would shake up the natural order of college football big time. I just don't see it happening.
I also thought MSU billionaire donor Mat Ishbia would be conflicted from giving to MSU athletics now that he owns the Suns. But supposedly he is in the middle of these alleged discussions with Urban. Who knows.

LMAO. He may never take that job, but it won't be because of any of that. He could buy Wexner Hospital for what MSU would pay him.
It'll be hysterical when Gilbert and Ishbia pay "Fingers" Meyer the equivalent of the GDP of Denmark and still end up 9-3.
You'd think that if there was one school that would avoid hiring a coach that is notorious for finger-blasting a coed, it'd be MSU.
If MSU doesn't hire Narduzzi than I am rooting for them to hire Meyer so it gives PSU 1 less auto, walk off the bus W. PSU wins too many games simply for showing up.
The point wasn’t the money or the job. His life is in the Columbus area. He doesn’t need either, but being a Buckeye and taking a job with either team in Michigan is not endearing to the locals. It’s a good way to have your businesses burned down. He’s 59, said these rumors are false, loves seeing his family and his little Fox gig on weekends.
