We can break down bell and Eli till we are blue in the face, and they aren’t perfect or even great, but my freaking god the takes on here are incredibly lazy.

This isn’t a Phil situation like last year, or Frank running a dated, awful system. There are kinks to work out, and Eli will improve….but Jesus, this might be the worst Pitt o line I’ve watched.

They can’t pass protect. Yarnell and Eli rarely had any time. They can’t run block. Reid’s one long run was a busted play to the outside that he bounced out because the line once again opened zero holes. Baer is a disaster. Half of them are hurt.

So yeah, it’s bad, and it falls on Pat because frankly, his Oline recruiting has been putrid the entire time he has been here. It’s close to impossible to evaluate bell and Eli at this point because of just how bad they are.

But the lazy takes of blaming an OC and the qb only, and making a comparison to
Last year is kind of wild. Yeah, you can question some things but when all the other team has to do is rush four, and drop everyone else back, it’s really hard to do much of anything.

Oh, btw, Eli and everyone else looks a lot better if the receivers don’t drop like 8 passes. Eli missed some throws but receivers dropped way more than he misssd.
