And I couldn’t care less. I’m fine in my own skin and life as is. My level is just where I need it to be. I don’t need to sniff jocks or hang with celebrities to have a fullfilled life.
They signed up to be a public figure in maybe the most high pressure/lowest job security profession out there.
And the Pitt coach is usually very wealthy. P6 coaches arent struggling to pay their mortgage.
Most people have expectations in their jobs. Although basketball coaches are at the top of the list of people who contribute most to society, and often times they are underpaid and overworked, they too have expectations to fill or they will find consequences.
I reckon Pitt’s current coach might have learned most of his coaching from a coach who encounters the least amount of criticism from home fans than any coach in recent memory.
So by this logic Kevin stallings should’ve been giving 6 years because coaching basketball is so hard? It’s a job they’re extremely well paid for. If they don’t wanna be held accountable by fans for poor performance get in another line of work, Jason.
I mean, dude's been making a ton of money for a long, long while. If it doesn't work out at Pitt, he'll likely require bought out and, if he wants but I'm sure hed keep coaching, could retire in his mid 40s and live more comfortably than 99% of the world the rest of his life.

Hard for fans to look at the big and long term pictures! I try not to beat a coach up to the point the he should be fired but I do think individual decisions are fair game. I think if Coach Duzz wins 8 games this season and Coach Capel wins 15 games this season their decisions are in line with the school's agenda!
It's really not hard. I don't want him to be fired, but there is no reason he can't be criticized on a message board. He's earned that more than he's earned his salary. I enjoy looking at how far people will go to not criticize and make excuses for Capel.
I have issues with some of Coach Capel's decisions but he has made enough good decisions to stay our coach for this season.
I’d offer you the same but swinging from other mens’ nether regions is no place to be.

I actually thought this post was meant to be sarcastic when I first read it. Your'e right, coaches aren't able to get whomever they want. But they should have a clear backup plan if they don't land the players they targeted, and I think that's the critique most on here have of Capel. No one expects him to recruit at the level he did at Duke.
Yes, almost no one wants him fired. There is somewhere in between fired and defending everything that happens

I know it’s a tough job, and I know these guys are humans with families At the end of the day I want a good basketball team. And they are paid well to do lead that.
