The penalty should be You Are Done Playing In The NFL.

That might be an incentive to clean up your act.

You're a successful person, act like one, and set an example for others who follow!

You're not back in the neighborhood anymore??

Its a simple decision for players.

The result a lifetime ban will clean up thngs fast!

Food for thought...

How would the NFL handle the situation if some day the victim of domestic violence turned out to be another man????? Seriously...

Picture this... an NFL player is in the closet and has a fight with his domestic partner and calls the cops? Would the NFL consider this a hate crime and would the suspension be longer?

Smacking a women is one thing, but smacking a person who is gay in today’s political climate would really be interesting to watch....

Think about it...

Why would they call the cops when one if not both were dressed as one?

I don't really think it would matter. Physical abuse wouldn't be tolerated either way.

A hate crime? In your scenario they are both gay.

It's a problem in all walks of life. Not unique to Pro athletes.

Should cops doctors lawyers be banned for life for domestic violence.

Cops - easy yes. We don't get to choose our cops and someone calling in a domestic violence call shouldn't have to have a cop who is an abuser.

Doctors can lose their license and lawyers can be dis-barred for bad behavior, but people also have more of a choice in these matters and can choose with their feet/wallets.

I know we've gone round and round about this subject but these men are rewarded very well for their violent nature and how it transfers over to the football field. It's actually incredible that there isn't more of this stuff as compared to the general population.

The point is that none of them are banned for domestic violence. They can serve their time receive treatment and still earn a living. Yet people want to ban football players for the same thing.
