It's official. Herb Hand is gone from PSU to Auburn

Another one of "The Talking Coach" staff taking the lifeboat!

We'll miss you old Herb and all your energy you spent on twitter I guess you need to change it from We Are to We Are Out Of Here. Oh I can't wait to hear about James explaining this one. In all serious Matt Limegrover might be a good fit. So they could have two coaches from PCC.

Why is it that everyone who works for James from State College can't wait to leave? His staff is starting to look like the Georgia staff at the Taxslayer Bowl.
Shhhhh......Franklin has a Plan, but Penn State Old Main has a Plan too and it is not an Extension!

May be able to say something after Signing Day, and posting in Red because Franklin's on the Hot Seat more than many know, except some recruits that refuse to believe it???

DEFCON COACHING HOT LEVEL 5!
DEFCON COACHING HOT LEVEL 4!!
DEFCON COACHING HOT LEVEL 3!!!
DEFCON COACHING HOT LEVEL 2!!!!
DEFCON COACHING HOT LEVEL 1!!!!!

DEFCON COACHING LEVEL GONE!!!!!

"VAPITTALUM, post: 735348, member: 13482"]He might have fared better in the bowl game has his staff resembled the GA staff. Penn State is simply getting a taste of what the rest of the country deal with; turnover. They were lucky to have stability for so long that PSU fans believed they had a destination program.
:eek:o_O:mad::(OUCH!!!:confused::p:oops:;)

Penn State's Football Offices Alarm Sounds Off Again!

All Coaches "HANDS" Run To Phones, Texts, & Tweets To Save Smart Recruits That Think?

Oh, wait can't do it NCAA Quiet Period until 14th those Damn Compliance Issues again?

Damn the Torpedos do it anyway Save the USS Franklin!

Meh...The O-Line has stunk there for a while.

Until the coaching fallout starts turning their 4 star recruits into our 3 star recruits, you can wake me up in September.
SEC is the Best Conference in CFB in most years, and Teams that have10 Wins without Championships get fired or resign or leave, but they bring in some great coaches too......Chaney first....Shoop....and now Hand?

It does not always work out like but they keep selecting new coaches in hopes of winning bigger and better.

Narduzzi has his Staff in "Hand" and Franklin's is on his 3rd Replacement in just his Second Year???

UTenn and Auburn is not coming for the worst at Penn State but the best and another good one was fired!

It could be the Head Coaching after all?

It is not a coincidence it is a trend!;)

What national writers are saying on Twitter is on the same level as what we've said here about Franklin. It will also hold more weight with recruits

THEY are saying; "sinking ship", "disaster", "fleeing like rats",

Someone do the math.
JoePA was HC for how many years ??.
Figure out the average HC turnover for Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, etc. ( top 20 programs ) over the JoePA coaching tenure.

No wonder Nitter football had some good years with zero HC turnover over a long period of time.
If they had average HC turnover over that same timeframe those good year would have probably been average years.

I can see Franklin's act getting old for his assistant coaches. At first he gave them an opportunity to coach in big time programs, but then they see how their boss really isn't much respected within the coaching profession. At that point, at least for the good coaches, a lateral move looks pretty good.

Go Pitt.

That works both ways. In PSU's case, I don't think the "stability" the last decade plus of the Paterno era worked in their favor.

PSU is just like any other job in America. Its a destination in the sense that to some it's the next destination, to others it was their last destination.

My favorite from Herb Hand was when he posted a picture of his daughter on Twitter, bragging about her mission trip. The girl wasn't very attractive and some Pitt fan told him that on Twitter. It was funny as heck.

He reacted the same way any of us would and offered to fight the guy (internet muscles) so I dont think he was wrong......but when you are an outspoken jack@$$, you should probably think twice about posting pics of your ugly daughter. It shouldn't have to be that way but it is.

You do realize Hand was the coach of the worst o-line in p5 football.Actually most PSU fans are glad he's gone. After watching that line for 2 years and seeing no improvement I'm shocked Hand got another job.Smarter than me people(lots of those)actually think this offense will be better now that Donovan and Hand are gone.Did you ever think that maybe the new oc and Hand didn't see eye to eye on schemes and techniques and the new oc wanted him out?

yeah, milkdud's twitter Goebbels was kicked all the way down to Auburn and Gus Malzahn and likely more cash. If that is the case of a soft fire, I think a lot of coaches would sign up for that.

The University of State very much wanted Grandpa out of there.

But it couldn't act because he had the goods on everybody.
Don't think this run is going to be 40 plus years.......Big Mouth may be on a hot seat as early as this time next year

You do realize that Auburn is a step up from PSU, right? That Auburn is paying him more than he was making at PSU, right? Donovan and Hand were Franklin's guys.... that he wanted to get rid of Donovan (and maybe Hand) just 2 years after taking the job means that Franklin is under some serious heat.

PSU goes into next season without either coordinator ever coordinating a game for a P5 team.

If you think Franklin wanted all this coaching turnover just a couple weeks before LOI day, you're nuts.

I thought the reason of the bad o-line was sanctions...
