I know he committed, but if I remember correctly, he didn't sign his LOI in December. Does anyone know if he is still committed and coming? His twitter still says he committed, so I don't have any info that he's not - just curious.

Jack Davis from Wyoming Seminary, Pennsylvania joined the Pitt Panther wrestling program. Davis is a national prep champion and currently ranked 14th in the country at 138 pounds.

Im not real sure how a national prep champion is ranked 14th, but there it is.

The prep schools generally are not as strong as the best HS programs, and, therefore, their champions frequently are ranked lower than the top HS recruits. Pitt had another wrestler from Wyoming Seminary, whose name escapes me, who was a prep school national champion but was less than successful at Pitt.

Becca lost 56-0 to Wyoming Seminary his year - Wyoming Sem is really tough.

Are you thinking of Dietrich?

The only time I have ever watched these two wrestle is when they wrestled each other in the finals. Mathews looks very good to me. He controlled the match in my opinion, and seems to have a style that will adapt well to higher levels of wrestling.

Does anyone know anything about their growth potential or have any insight where these guys will eventually fit in to Pitts line up. Phillipi is very strong. If they can knock him out of 133, they are just about going to have to be an AA as a freshman.

I think both wrestled at 137 at Powerade. I assume they and Phillippi are being counted on at 133, 141 and 149, but I have no idea which will wrestle at which weight.
