Agree his hudl looks pretty good. Moves around well and seems to have a nice arm. A little surprised Pitt is his only P5 offer. If Whipple wants him then I’m in.

I like this kids hudl and trust Whipple on this one. Eyes are always downfield, even under pressure. Runs when he needs to, not automatically. Kid has some moxie.

Anyone seen him play live?

I'm curious...if he really wants to play at Pitt then why not make a commitment? Of course it's his and his family's business and I respect that, but you would have to think that if he really loved the idea of being at Pitt he'd make the commitment, especially since we're his only power 5 offer.

Of course we don't know the details of his recruiting, either. Maybe he wants to hear that they won't recruit any more QBs in the class and the Pitt staff won't commit to that idea?

I was thinking the same thing that he is holding out for other P5 offers. He didn’t go to Pitt’s Junior Day, went to Mich St instead. This is going to be a small class & only 1 QB will probably be taken.

Seams like the kid has some skill.

Great footwork in the pocket, quick release, can run and throw on the run. Looks like a solid player already. I can think of a number of reasons why he might not want to commit to Pitt early.

1. QB situation is getting crowded. Maybe he wants to play sooner.
2. Might be looking for stability with the OC. Pitt has been a revolving door there.
3. Might be looking for the team to win more than 8 games in a season. Haven’t done that very often recently.
4. Less likely, but maybe he is looking for a different education than what Pitt offers.
5. Maybe he is waiting for Pitt’s program to finally come together under Narduzzi.

Saw him play last season against Central. Not a good night for Norwin, but he's talented

His Pitt offer is probably not commitable. Think he is a backup plan in case Whipple strikes out

Yeah, not blown away by his video. Seems to have really good touch, but his arm is at best average, he would be the least mobile of the QBs between he, KP, the NJ kid and Beville.

It is still early, even for a QB. We will start to see them commit a good bit more moving forward now. I would hope that they are aiming higher.

Maybe he's waiting for them to win their division or something.

#1. Our QB room is no more crowded than most others.

#5. Makes no sense at all. He will be choosing a school this year. Not 2 or 3 years from now.

Agree his arm appears average, but I think he moves better than Patti. He's still built a little slight, hopefully he fills out. Like I said in the first post, the thing that stuck out most to me was his eyes were always downfield. Seemed to be under pressure a lot and he kept his focus downfield. Impressive trait for a young QB.

Likely the right answer. Watson offered him not Whipple. Whipple may be trying to find his guy and is slow playing this kid who has nothing but Ivy/Patriot League offers a la Ben DeNucci.

I like a lot about his game, but his left foot "plant" looks a little late on some throws, and forcing him to throw with more arm, than follow through.

It something that I think should be correctable; but it's also good for him that he has a strong arm.

Thank you for clarifying.
1. Last I checked there were 4 qbs.

5. So if he wins an ACC championship this year that means the program will have come together. If they only win 7 games it won’t.

2. Western Michigan now has their third offensive coordinator in three years since Fleck left. Tim Lester has had two in his first two years and has a new one this year.

3. They have as many 8 plus win seasons as Pitt since Narduzzi took over. Current coaches matter more than previous, so Lester has won 6 and 7 games in a lesser conference in his time at Western Michigan.

5. So if Pitt has a good year, then he commits? Pitt will likely take 1 QB this year. So, unless you are really, really good, they aren't waiting for you to commit; especially if you are an ok QB. His offer left when Watson was fired.
