Jalen Hurd also considering Pitt

If Zaire comes to Pitt that will be the biggest recruiting tool we can have.

I think it is a coin toss for him with NC... he likes NC, he was friends with Marquis Williams. I think we are an even better fit now, but we will see.

Ph, I know someone who has been saying for awhile now that we miss out on Wade.

Hahaha, who could that be?
Honestly, i'll be sick if he picks PSU. Sicker than I was when my buddy called me to tell me Foster picked Alabama. Clairton kids don't belong in happey valley. Reading some of his twitter page about how he was against racist Trump and pro all black everything, you would think he is in for a major culture shock out in Happey Valley when he has to stay there for more than a weekend and he sees what they are all about.

Clock is getting close to midnight, but I'm starting to lose my confidence.

I've thought about this as well. While the gameday atmosphere 6-7 weekends a year is great at PSU, what do these players do the other weeks while at school? Understanding that living in the city and attending a university co-located with major sports teams is not ideal for every athlete looking to play sports at the college level, but I really can't see someone like Wade who appreciates diversity having a great time in State College outside of football.

-The entire staff looks to be visiting Wade this evening in Slippery Rock. So unlike popular belief, we are going after him hard. We wouldnt be wasting our time if there wasnt legit interest back

-Becton is coming back to Pitt with his family. We have a very legit chance to get him.

-Mathis and Edwards are both getting CB'd to Pitt, 2 Florida recruits. If we get AJ Davis, throw the party for the staff for a strong close in Florida.

-Pitt got the last visit for Nathan Proctor, who is down to 5 schools. 3 of our Coaches were out to see him.

steel, some posters believe we get wade, some posters do not think it will happen. but one thing is certain, 100% of posters believe we are going hard after wade. as well we should. our coaches would be dumb if they didn't.

with proctor, i read a article on him and he talked how important academics were for him. yet, i keep reading ole miss is the leader. that doesn't seem to make sense. however i could be wrong on ole miss academics.

You're correct. They are ranked #135 according to the US News rankings for national universities.

-I dont think he's ever even visited Ole Miss.

-The schools I know he visited are Tennessee, Florida, Pitt, Maryland, and maybe Penn State and few of the smaller ones. He was at Tennessee and Florida with Twyman, a recruit we lead for. He is returning to Pitt for a 2nd visit.

There isn't a person who follows Pitt & has a pulse that thinks they aren't going hard after Wade. Steel - love your enthusiasm but cut out the hyperbole and nonsense.

-What hyperbole? There are 3 different people on this board that said Wade is all but done to Penn State per their "Sources". I think their sources are bullshit, since we are watching and visiting Wade tonight. There is plenty of big time talent still left on the board. If our staff was as sure as the people on this board, we wouldnt even be wasting our time with Wade right now when we could be spending time with another Elite recruit.

It's very weird that PSU doesn't feel as though he is "theirs". I can't get a read on Wade anymore. I give up.

-Here's what you need to know. Multiple people that have provided guess work on his recruitment have been proven wrong, dead wrong, on Wade's recruitment, people on here, with blogs, etcc..

-Wade doesnt give a shit how big a football stadium is or how many fans are at the game. He said he could go to Hawaii if the conditions were right.

-Wade's number 1 priority right now as its always been is starting as a freshmen and development to the NFL. The only school that could even make any type of guarantee to what Wade wants is Pitt, because we have the worst secondary in division 1 football. I strongly view this as a 2 team race between the PA schools. And I do not have a prediction where he goes. Im not even sure Wade himself knows yet.

This statement from your post...

"So unlike popular belief, we are going after him hard."

There is no popular belief that Pitt isn't going after him hard. In fact I'd say the ONLY belief is that they are going after him hard. Opinions are divided as to whether they land him.

Did you know any scholarship football or basketball players when you were in college? Those guys live a golden existence at ANY school. They're idolized by everyone. It's not the same experience as it is for a Clairton kid going to Penn State on an academic scholarship. Not even close.

Hope you arent referring to me saying I think he is PSU bound. Cause I will readily admit I dont know shit. Have no sources, and just going on him making his plans to announce right after his pennst visit. Figured that seemed to be the MO of local recruits

I did. That's exactly my point. Outside of the campus proper, there is absolutely nothing to do in State College. On the other hand, being an athlete gives you certain privileges when it comes to attending sporting events, etc. around the city. The only negative of living in a pro sports town is the media's bias toward questioning why certain players or teams are not living up to their potential prematurely. They are too used to covering professional athletes and sometimes expect 18-22 year olds to pay like professional athletes.
