Chris (or anyone else for that matter):

In your "Spring Camp Preview: The Defense" piece, you indicate that Jamal Davis is being looked at as an outside linebacker, but given the state of our defensive ends, might they want to look at him in this latter position?

Davis was being recruited out of high school as a linebacker OR a defensive end. In the linked article by Matt Dorsey of SpartanMag, you'll see that some of the MSU folks thought that he might fit in for the Spartans at this position.

In short, I don't know how big Davis is at present, but he was listed at 6'3", 215-pounds in 2014, and Dorsey noted that "Davis has the frame to add more size and keep his explosiveness."

PS- I should add that Pitt seems to have quite few linebackers compared to other positions: Galambos, Grigsby, Bradley, Caprara, Green, Wirginis, and Folston. We're also adding highly regarded true frosh-- Saleem Brightwell and Anthony McKee-- and they could also slide Pat Amara down to the outside linebacker position as well, (given the arrival of Whitehead as a defensive back).

PPS- Also, what's going on with Ejuan Price?
