For as much as PSU wants to pretend they are an elite program, here is how they have fared under Franklin each year:
2014 - 0-2 vs ranked teams; 4 losses to unranked teams
2015 - 0-4 vs ranked teams; 2 losses to unranked teams
2016 - 2-2 vs ranked teams; 1 loss to an unranked Pitt
2017 2-2 vs ranked teams; 0 losses to unranked teams
2018 0-1 to ranked teams; 1 loss to an unranked team so far
So in 4.5 years, 4-9 vs ranked teams and have lost 8 times to unranked teams. I imagine this is only going to get worse with Iowa, @ Mich, and Wisky on the docket.
My point is they get a ton of media attention for being ranked despite winning the Big 10 once.
