You are really having a man crush w/ jimmy franks. Please don't hurt yourself on 9/11/16

Coached 3 years at perennial doormat Vanderbilt and sanction riddled PSU after the worst scandal in sports history and has never missed out on a post season bowl.

Very impressive. Not many coaches could ever dream of being that successful under those circumstances.

I can honestly say, TD, that I hope James Franklin coaches at PSU for as long as Joe did.

I hope he never leaves.

Agree, I posted when the sanctions were imposed they would still win have winning seasons, and posted that about USC as well. And that was when they were going to have 4 Years of Sanctions not just 2 Years?

Penn State like Bama, Miami, and USC that got hit with multiple year sanctions reducing scholarships, is still a Top 15 Program and they don't come down easily and can beat the lesser Teams in the Big Ten, SEC, and Pac-12 in every year. And Penn State had the worst Scandal, but was granted a reprieved after putting in Reforms under the NCAA that Paterno was ever obeying when he built the Program!

Franklin has won FIVE games in FIVE years over P5 schools with a winning record. Narduzzi won three games over P5 schools with a winning record just this year (Louisville, Duke, VT)

Pitt has not missed a bowl game in years. Do you realize how bad you actually have to be to miss a bowl game? 3 teams went this year that weren't even bowl eligible!
So Franklin hasn't missed the postseason. If he would've lost 2 more games this year to miss out, they would have been to teams so bad he would have been fired before today. Literally if they show up to every game all season, they can take their beatings to the better teams and still waltz into a bowl game every year. Sanctions or not, making a bowl every year says nothing at all about a coach in present day college football.

Franklin is a skinnier version of Brady Hoke. Only he has a head set, and still has no clue about what is going on during the game. 0-6 vs MSU/UM/TUOS the past 2 seasons, and I doubt he gets a win next year. Which is saying a lot, as both Sparty & the Bucks lose a ton of quality players.

Very impressive nitter? Did you look at those victories at Vanderbilt? Elon? UMASS? A historically bad Auburn and Florida? You are impressed by that?

Seriously you are a very strange dude as even hard-core PSU friends of mine are saying next year is do or die for your god-hero and have also used the word snake oil salesman to describe him.

Most likely the best comparison of all Posters and spot on perhaps except Franklin might be a tad better than Hoke! Hoke did leave Harbaugh with much talent that went 10-3?

This is what I have been saying, Franklin's Challenge is from 3 of the Best Coaches in CFB and in the Big Ten, and add in Ferentz, Narduzzi, Ash, Durkin and Chryst/Alvarez in the next 4 years? All know how to play against Big Ten Teams even more than Franklin because they have more experience in the Big Ten and against the PSU Program!!!

Which is saying a lot, as both Sparty & the Bucks lose a ton of quality players.
Coaching in the Big Ten with MUS, Michigan, and OSU usually is about Reloading and their Recruiting is right up there in the Top 5, 10, and 20 right with Franklin's?

Hoke found that out the hard way and we shall see if Franklin can overcome it or meet the challenge better?

The guy is either an idiot or a nitter in disguise there are no other options...
