Jamie hasn't finished above .500 in conference play since the 2013-14 season. 8 years in a row at .500 or worse. That's almost unfathomable for a guy who seemed was once a sure-fire Hall of Famer.

He needed this years tournament appearance very, very badly or else there’s a decent chance he would’ve been let go.

If TCU can essentially force out Gary Patterson after all he did for the football program they certainly could’ve dumped Jamie Dixon.

So I guess Barnes really did Pitt bb a big favor in forcing Jamie out if you feel he’s a bank robber or #1/2 overpaid coach . He was Pitts best coach ever period and the program wouldn’t be the dumpster fire it is now had he stayed .
