Anthony Johnson has played one year of football, but his performance in 2017 was good enough to draw interest from the Pitt coaches, and they had the Jeannette defensive end on campus last weekend for Junior Day.
“The visit gave me a better perspective on Pitt,” Johnson told Panther-Lair.com. “They always talk to my coaches so I didn’t talk too much before, but there’s definitely a mutual interest now. I definitely like it a lot. They’re bringing the football program up; I like the talent they’re bringing in and I really like the coaches.
“That was my first time being in the Cathedral of Learning and I really liked the classrooms and the setup that they have. I love that they’re right next to the Steelers. There are a lot of pros to Pitt.”
