This is one instance where I liked the song more after seeing the video. More often, I liked a song less if it had a dumb video. And I like his playing here. I loved Blow by Blow and Wired and most of his other stuff, but occasionally it seemed he got too interested in what kind of sound he could get out of his guitar rather than just playing. But he may have been more talented than anyone.I had not thought of this song for many years and can’t even say I loved the song, but it seems appropriate for this situation.
Mournful tone but mesmerizing.
Had a Beck, Bogart, and Appice vinyl album. They did an awesome cover of Superstition.
I remember in the late 70's early 80's as a young and aspiring guitarist ..Thought I was getting pretty good with my then new Strat . Then my buddy at the time who was a drummer put this album on he had borrowed from his older brother . After hearing it I felt like selling the Strat and never playing again . (Beck was that good IMO) . I got over it . Thank God ....Had a Beck, Bogart, and Appice vinyl album. They did an awesome cover of Superstition.
