How big of a role do you think it played in Capel's decision to take the job that he gets to see live and in person the Kenny Football Era? Its a legitimate question.

It wasn't Kenny. I can't divulge what the lynch pin was but I'll just say this......Don't be surprised when we run out of the tunnel in September wearing Duke Blue and old gold unis.

Kenny Panther.....serves the purpose of a nickname for our most visible player with identity of our school mascot.....far more effective....

Kenny made the actual decision? I can actually believe that. Do you think he will decide to lead the basketball team to the ACC Championship after the CFP title game?
As long as the Panthers are on track for a NCAA tournament bid I doubt he will partake. However I do anticipate him averaging a triple double in the big dance and leading Pitt to the final four.
I wonder though if Pitt is struggling, would he maybe just join the team for the ACC Tournament so they can get the auto bid, then go back to Spring Practice. Would Narduzzi allow that or wouldn't he have a say?
No doubt Cutcliffe stopped by his office and showed him video of Kenny throwing warm ups prior to the game at Duke. After seeing that, he's the one that initiated contacted with Lyke from what sources are saying.
this is dumb, Kenny Football had no influence at all in Capel's decision. He came here because of Aston.. everyone knows that.
More like Aston told him to come. But, seriously, that's not what I'm hearing. It was pretty much all Kenny Football. In fact, Mike Tomlin has already reached out to him to discuss the succession plan to Big Ben. He wants to keep him in shape so Kenny will probably lead the ACC in scoring in the off-season. After his junior year, the Steelers will trade up and take him #1. Tomlin, Capel, and Narduzzi will work closely together to develop a plan that will enable Kenny to lead all 3 teams to national championships and Super Bowls.

You guys just ruined Bob Huggins national championship hopes for 2021.Huggs was hoping to get Kenny as a Grad transfer and lead Wvu to the Basketball Championship after he won the National Championship for Pitt in football.Huggs won't sleep tonight wondering how he's going to replace Kenny Basketball.Damn you Capel for coming to Pitt and leading them back to National Prominence.

I'll be honest. I never thought of that but the NCAA, for some strange reason, allows you to play professional baseball while maintaining amateur status in football. If I'm Nutting, I probably offer Kenny Football, $5-6 million per but allow him to have Saturdays off so he can QB the Panthers.
If Nutting would stagger the Pirate start times, Kenny Pirate/Panther could play second base and after his walk-off HR (done in his Pitt football uniform) the Pirate Parrot could bring him into Heinz Field on his 4-wheeler. Then the Parrot pops the head off his costume and George Aston appears. They join the Pitt offensive huddle and score on the first play.
