Exactly what happened to me. I lost a lot of weight during my depression. Lexapro was relatively new when it was proscribed to me. My doctor told me when I came out of my depression I had to be careful of weight gain and he was right. I actually became euphoric and found myself walking out the front door on my way to work singing out loud.

I don't use the term often, but these SSRI's are close to a miracle drug.

I gave up on Effexor about 5 years ago. Started therapy instead. Had a cancer scare and had to get the rest of my colon removed. Had 3/4 removed on an earlier surgery. Either way I had horrible anxiety with all my health issues. Multiple Sclerosis also. Therapy has helped way more than I ever thought it would. Way less anxiety. The game changer for me though was Psilocybin or shrooms. Totally changed how I thought about everything. Not for everyone obviously. Surprised I’m first to mention Psychedelics with all the research going on.

Yea I live in Delaware so I’m able to drive to DC for shrooms. I did a bunch before my last surgery and when I was trying to fight off colon cancer for 3 years with RSO oil. High Concentrated Cannabis oil. 60 grams 3 months. Kept me from getting colon cancer I guess but didn’t eliminate the issues. Haven’t done them for a while now but I still feel good. Got all the same things going on but no anxiety.
