3* OT from Ohio with offers from WVU, Kentucky, Purdue, Minnesota and a bunch of MAC schools. Listed at 6'5" 245...so could use a RS year to add some weight. Sorry Steel, I don't know his 40 time.

He's at Pitt this weekend for Junior day and picked up a fresh CB from 247 to Pitt last night. Will he be the first commit?

He is an OT that weights 245??

The proverbial Freshman 15 becomes the Freshman 30 for an OL who is lifting and eating on the football plan.

Well, I know we are recruiting faster people, but really.... that is thin for an OT even in HS in this era. My son is a LB/DE for a large high school, he is under 200 but 6'4" and was a sophomore, and I would say the lightest OT he lined up against was 270, and most were pushing 300.

But, you are right I am sure, he must be big framed to add weight

I watched some of his film. Very quick, good feet. Technically pretty sound and holds his blocks. Not very strong but his frame could easily support more weight. I'm guessing his school doesn't have much of a weight program. I'd be okay with getting him.

It's funny how the Belle Vernon kid is on everybody's short list right now but if you look at a picture of him from a couple years ago, you wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't an athlete at all. But they have an excellent offseason program and he bought into it.

The key here is figuring what he is going to weigh in 2020 when he figures to hit the field as a 3rd year player. Nothing to see here.

I wouldn't about that if that was a JR year football weight. Would imagine he can easily be 275 by the time he gets to his first fall camp.

Maybe. A lot of people haven't noticed that OL-men are getting smaller weight wise. The position is being asked to move more and that takes speed. Look at DJ. He's down to 300 at 6'5". NFL scouts like him because he can move and is explosive.
