Doesn't seem like that would be in his best interest. He needs to go someplace where he isn't the focal point of every defense he faces. He's like the one decent-looking girl in the bar at 1:45 am... they flock to him like bees to honey.
If he does keep him its the biggest recruiting win Capel has had in two years.

Maybe he thinks it would be in his best interest. He might get more notice being a star at Pitt and putting up big numbers. He might look pretty average on a very good team. Maybe it's better to be the one decent-looking girl in a Pittsburgh bar than just another pretty face in an LA club.
Some posters just want to continue negativity. I'm not happy with our basketball program but if JC is retained then why wish Pitt and our athletes ill will?

I believe so. Bottom line is don't believe anything that any of these kids or their families tell you. Until you see them on the court, it's all speculation.
That isn't ill-will; that's wishing a player the best and hoping he isn't bogged down by an incompetent coach who can't field a legitimate basketball team.

I don't know why everyone doubts Hugley coming back. Its the G-league or Pitt for him. Capel stood by the kid when many coaches would have kicked him off the team. To be fair, Capel needed him more than he needed Capel but still. His HS coach, who he is very close to openly says great things about Capel. He's even sending a Top 100 junior to play for him. Plus, he's only an A10 player anyway according to BballinsiderfromPitt so what's the point in playing in a lesser league when you're honorable mention All ACC
Well, he's no Blair, that's for sure. But with what we have on this roster and what we can be expected to get, at least he's someone who can play at a more than mediocre level.

English was an important class to pay attention in ( and I'm a STEM major ).

You are becoming a cartoon of yourself suggesting such ridiculous things like Providence is an elite job and Hugley isnt a P6 player. On a good team, Hugley would be an absolute star. Nobody in college basketball can guard him 1 on 1.
The Big 10 has about 10 centers better than him and Purdue has 2 on their team alone. He would be on the bench. Hugley is so good that he didn’t even make All-ACC. Pitt just stinks so bad that it has clouded your vision. That or you are just the village idiot.

He has limited skill. He is a brute force big. It’s why he shoots so poorly. He will never be all league in a P6 league, particularly if he stays at Pitt
