Narduzzi is on record as saying he doesn’t meddle on the offensive side of the ball too much. In that case, why not give Whipple the option to keep or axe position coaches based on their performance review by the end of the year?
I’m not saying give him the green light to wipe out the current regime entirely but for a guy like Salem he has more than worn out his welcome. If Whipple does in fact intend to stay “as long as Pitt will have him” then he should be given the chance to live and die by his hires. Again, just something to talk about.
