I don't know how realistic this is, but I think we can all agree AD's focus has changed considerably with football NIL. Why not just explore creating a new position for someone who becomes more of a business manager for Athletic financials, including a heavy presence in fundraising, maybe even with co-direct reporting to the Chancellor and the AD. Leave the rest of the day-to-day of other Athletic responsibilities to the AD, which are numerous.
