Just FYI... Jeff Goodman is a University of Arizona grad

O'k, at the risk of sounding completely stupid or uninformed, since this Goodman guy keeps coming up, was that photo he posted of Sean Miller being on campus legit? I'm not claiming that Miller wasn't on the Arizona campus or was anywhere at or near Pittsburgh. However, when I saw that photograph he posted of Miller walking on the Arizona campus, I'm thinking, yeah that is Sean Miller but it looks like a picture of him a good 5 or more years ago. Watching any recent Arizona BB games, I sure didn't think of Miller still being the skinny looking kid in that photo??

I'm not into conspiracy theories, but I must really need a new set of glasses if the Sean Miller in that photo is the same one I've seen on the sideline in any recent Arizona BB game.

-I almost decided to rip into Goodman last night. A reporter that makes under 200K per year. But I saw no point to as it would be a waste of time. But if someone would like to take that bull by the horns, there is plenty of dirt on this clown from his bad journalism over the years where he posted statements that were 100% false, proven to be false, and was ripped badly for it.

Who knows. We may never know. It was never sourced to my knowledge and there was nothing that proves that was taken when he implied it was. That picture could have been from November for all we know.

Sean has been on a diet & exercise regime and has lost a lot of weight - slimmest he has been since arriving in Tucson (plus he must have lost 10 lbs of sweat during last week's NCAA Tourney loss).

First off, Sean Miller just set an example for all coaches (including our just recent Ex BB coach) on how to reaffirm your position and deny another job. That was emphatic, almost to the point of being rude.

That being said, and Pitt is in no position to refute this, there was way too much smoke here by way too many sources to suggest there was no contact and no interest by both parties.

I have seen these things up close and personal before. Jeff Goodman seems to be as big of a fanboy as Rich Walsh was, acting like a personal agent for Arizona and the Millers. But I can remember a certain football coach who was being pursued by what now is the biggest job in college football and some people got wind of it, and he emphatically denied, even to the point of calling in the local sports talk show that focus's on the schools sports programs and went live on the air denying and stating "I am here at WVU as long as they will have me".

The job was the Alabama job. I knew boosters and personal friends of said coach (RichRod) and they confirmed in fact he was talking to Alabama. He was 50/50, but after being caught so to speak, and realizing he had a national title contending team returning (gee thank you Wanny LOL!) that he decided to stay.

Lo and behold, only 1 year later, he was in fact gone to Michigan. So.....these guys can play all of these denial games and such, but there is almost always at least a conversation or two.

But again, Miller did it right on how to slam these rumors shut. Jamie Dixon never did. Neither did RichRod. LOL

The biggest reason for the quick no thanks was Sean is in the middle of a recruiting battle for Josh Jackson. Any will he stay or go rumors would have screwed that up.

Oh yeah, no doubt. He did what he had to do, but if he was staying at Arizona (which he obviously is) than that kind of forceful denial is what should be done. Not a wishy washy statement by some coaches.
