Can I ask how Duzz is "ignoring" local talent?

They offer these kids, they invite them to games/practices/junior days/etc..

Look at the latest NFL data - zero WPIAL kids invited to the NFL combine this year.

Not the WPIAL but the entire state of PA doesn't even rank in the top 10 of drafted players in the past 5 years.

Why would a business go all in on a product that doesn't deliver?

I remember George Hill (Woody High transfer from GA) being interviewed last summer about the difference Georgia football and WPIAL and he was as respectful as he could be but basically said there are some good players up here but everyone down there is good and bigger!

The biggest deficit in talent in the WPIAL is DL talent. When you go south of the Mason Dixon line it's just different. You see big bodies who can run - in #'s.. Wherever you see fast big bodies, you typically find many more fast smaller ones. Usually they're better too..

The WPIAL can’t feed the MAC with enough talent. I’ve written this a million times.
It isn’t 1979.
Western PA is an old population. Fishing in a small pond for small fish gives lousy ROI.
Ignore the WPIAL.
Chances are they are going to ND, MICH, OSU anyway. If those guys aren’t playing at those schools, there are good reasons.
You can evaluate them better when they hit the portal.
