Pitt grad Keith Gavin will be in the finals of the 86 km freestyle championship. Waynesburg's Coleman Scott is in the finals in his weight class.
PSU's David Taylor made the finals but Ed Ruth lost a 13-12 decision in the semis and therefore missed a chance to lose to Gavin. Ruth, who never has been known for his commitment to training, had a big lead but folded and then gave up 3 points in the final 20 seconds.
PSU freshman Zain Retherford is in the finals in the junior division. I saw a photo with Mikey Raccioto in it but it looked like he was a spectator and not in the competition.
