Yet some people were pissed off when I said that Kent was probably the worst team we'd play all season.

I said they'd be a 6-5 or 7-4 FCS team. Maybe that was too hopeful. They may be one of the worst FCS teams. A MAC team shouldn't be that bad. I guess they are missing their RB from Southern Columbia who kept tearing me up on EA Sports College Football.
Kent State is the poverty program of the MAC. And the MAC is a poverty conference.

Wait, you don't think that ND knows that the MAC sucks, and that that's part of what makes that loss so bad?
Notre Dame hasn't played a lot of games against MAC schools, but unless I missed something that was the first time a school that is currently in the MAC has ever beaten them. And it doesn't look like anyone who used to be in the MAC beat them when they were in the conference either (for example, Temple, Marshall, Cincinnati).

What Pitt fan cares what Kent State did in any game except the one against Pitt? The lengths that some of our "fans" will go to diminish anything Pitt does is just f*cking weird. Kent State sucks and Pitt kicked their ass. End of story.
Saint Francis is a good NEC program, but the NEC allows their programs to give I think 4 scholarships more than Division II. Aside from the 2 non scholarship conferences, it's the lowest in the tier. Kent would be a middling CAA team, but it is wild any time an NEC team beats an FBS team. Duquesne did a few years back... And those are the only 2 times it's ever happened!
Yes, I was going to say NEC is low level FCS conference. According to Sagarin it is the worst FCS conference, even below the non-scholarship conferences, the worst conference in all of D1 football. Kent State is really bad. PSU will probably beat Kent State by 70.
People are laughing at Notre Dame for losing to a MAC school. Pitt has no right to make fun of schools for losing to someone from the MAC.
Bowling Green, by the way, is expected to be one of the best MAC teams this year.
The Saint Francis win honestly did not look like a fluke; they outplayed Kent. Kent only beat Central Connecticut State (another NEC squad) last year, and after the loss to the Red Flash the head coach has never beat an FBS team and is 1-1 in the NEC.
Robert Morris, a top tier NEC team, just lost to D2 Edinboro.
Kent is brutal, but Pitt handled business and that's what the takeaway is here. Excited for SFU and they take on CCSU, who just blew out Fordham, next week.
