During an interview with SteelersNow.com in New Orleans, Pickett had this to say about his experience with the Eagles so far.

“Every place does it differently, but the ultimate goal is to be (at the Super Bowl),” Pickett said. “There’s different ways to get here. I think this team, this franchise, has a really good plan (for) trying to get here. Seeing the way guys show up to work every day, there’s really no distractions. Guys are locked in, and there’s no secret as to why we’re here. We’ve got good players that show up to work.”

No distractions? Guys are “locked in?” Guys show up for work?

Wow, what’s that like?

Presumably, they even show up for work on Christmas morning on time for a game?
Benz also back tracks on Picket a bit but talks out of both sides of his mouth in that issue

Was it an interview or was it Super Bowl availability? Didn’t seem like he said that much against Steelers. He said he wished it ended differently but that could be self reflection as well.

I said it was indiredt. He didn’t call out the Steelers explicitly

The Steelers minister of propaganda saying now a rift with Wilson? I guess setting the stage to justify not resigning him

Russell Wilson, Arthur Smith butted heads over Steelers' offensive philosophy
Multiple sources told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Arthur Smith did not want Russell Wilson to change plays at the line of scrimmage despite his big game in Cincinnati in Week 13.

He's just saying what most non black and yellow rose colored glasses knew all along. The Steelers are a shit show!
But Fredo says, when asked about Mike Tomlin’s performance, that the players like playing for Mike Tomlin.

So all this silliness about professionalism, showing up for work on time, etc…it’s all just poppycock. The main thing is he’s liked.

Similar to how students like substitute teachers.

But at least everyone is having fun.

There's not incentive for the Steelers to leak this type of story. It seems like it camp from Wilson's camp.

As far as Pickett goes, it sounds like an innocent enough comment, but even if it was a shot it is deserved. I don't think it's the "Steeler Way" but rather the culture Mike Tomlin has established.

Dulac's only source is Burt, who tells him what to print.

Wow, this thread is a giant waste of storage on some server, somewhere.

I bet 50% of the players interviewed around the Super Bowl gave roughly the same answer if asked about their team.
I bet 50% of the players interviewed around the NFL Playoffs gave roughly the same answer if asked about their team.
I bet 50% of the players interviewed around the World Series gave roughly the same answer if asked about their team.
I bet 50% of the players interviewed around the NBA Championship gave roughly the same answer if asked about their team.
I bet 50% of the players interviewed around their currently successful team gave roughly the same answer if asked about their team in every instance over the past 50 years.

Yeah I don’t think he meant it as a shot but if you read between the lines he said what makes this team special. From that one can infer that the Steelers didn’t posses those qualities. Also the Steelers way of old no longer exists. It’s the Art and MM show

Such a waste that you spent the time responding. Lol

Sure there is. Wilson is going to be more than they're willing to pay. Need the price to come down or the excuse when he goes elsewhere. They're going to sign Fields to multi-year deal.
This story does nothing to bring his price down and only makes the coaching staff look bad. Unless they plan on firing Arthur Smith the team isn't releasing this story.

Dulac's only source is Burt, who tells him what to print.
So Burt is throwing the coaching staff under the bus while propping up the QB who may or not be back? Got it.

I always looked at the "Steelers way" as drafting and developing players and basically everything Troy Polamalu said in his Hall of Fame speech.

Yeah I think the article was more damning yo the staff than it was to Russ

I blame the Steelers for providing the fuel. If they weren’t such a shitshow, this thread wouldn’t exist.

Yeah but it’s such a standard answer that’s said over and over again by everyone it’s practically a nothing statement.

But people on here are acting like Kenny just dropped Not Like Us.
