Absolutely, great complete team effort from our Panthers. Capel has done something, don’t know what but it’s evident he has done something. H2P
I still don’t expect much more than a .500 season overall, but I will credit Capel in that he has at least put a competitive, fun team on the floor this year. If only we could have that VCU game back.
haha, I was gonna say the team has style in these last two games. As they say Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
We gave that game away but we may have needed to do that to play like we have since then.
NC State has kind of been our nemesis school since we joined the ACC and not just in hoops
He certainly picked the right clubs at the right times tonight.
Yes, I thought Capel did a great job of matching up with NC State. Yes we were out rebounded, but he gave us a chance to win this game. Good for coach!
I've been critical of Capel but he's doing a very good job this team is fun to watch and athletic,when's the last time we said that
Well, the NW game has
to be considered an
exception. Shooting
like that will never be
the norm. However, I
do think more outings
like tonight can happen.
We made some mistakes,
it wasn't perfect, but we
were consistent offensively.
This is a team with much better defense (with sloth on the bench )
And far more firepower with Nike , Burton , Hinson, and Elliot

I have said all along this is an 8-12 team but largely due to the ACC sucking. With Dior and an improved Hugley, I thought it was a team who could get to the Bubble. Now, I didn't expect Hugley he this bad but that's a different story. Some of you were saying 0-20 and I was down on the team too but still felt we could be middle of the pack. Why?
- ACC is terrible
- old guards
- Hinson looks like a player
- Hugley will be Hugley eventually
Next game vs Vandy is big. If we can go 8-3 in the non-con and 8-11 the rest of the way in the ACC, we can make the NIT

HUGELY being Hugley doesn’t help this team. Clogs the lane, commands touches, disrupts flow. Bad bad fit for this team. If he comes back to form and averages 14 a game this team has no shot.
If he is employed similarly to now this team has a shot for a decent season. He’s not a good fit for this team
I understand what you are saying, but I think Hugley will have some days. This is a team of players that will have somedays.
So far, Capel has mixedand matched to get the best of those some days.
Here is hoping that can continue.
If they run the offense as currently constructed, through the guards and Hinson (since he’s their best player), they can be successful. If HUGEly rounds into shape by January and they start running it thru him, they’re gonna regress. Right now it’s a fun brand of basketball to watch. Hoping it continues to develop that way
If true, I may have to pay up on my bet on the tourney. They’re a much better team with him out. They have enough scoring. Put in a longer defender
I’m not a huge fan of his game (obviously) but he still serves a solid purpose for some teams. He isn’t a fit for this team as currently constructed
There is no way this team can make the NCAAT unless Hugley plays like an All-ACC player. They may win some games with "bad Hugley" but they need him to be elite and efficient to have a shot.

Only time I shoot exclusively is when I played one one in college against a friend who thought he was better than he was since he was from Philly - and I roughed him up.

So next game I told him I’d only shoot from 3 or midrange jumpers - even after a rebound .
I ran it up on him again . Lol
