This new information shows that Paterno knew all this was going on while he was the athletic director at Penn State.

He knew full well what was going on and turned a blind eye while victim after victim was molested. Why? For the interest and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ of the football program and athletic department.

Anyone who can defend this scumbag is a piece of sh!t just like he is.

If this isn't a case of lack of institutional control then someone tell me what is.

There is nothing worse than someone harming or hurting a child, nothing.

If these allegations are somehow proven to be true, would it have changed the penalty handed down in the first place? If yes, and PSU and/or its employees are found to have knowingly withheld this information, doesn't the NCAA need to revisit the penalty? People will say its time to move on, and I do tend to somewhat agree since the JoePa regime is long gone and I don't really see the benefit in punishing the current students. But doesn't moving on without additional penalty essentially reward PSU for not being 100% forthcoming in the first place? I think the NCAA needs to do something substantial if these new revelations prove to be true, if only to set a standard for other schools that might try to sweep offenses under the rug down the road.

I guess we are starting to know why Penn State at the time was quick to take the punishment from the NCAA. I expect more and more to come out to be honest.

The NCAA is looking pretty stupid today! The had the info to shut a program down that enabled a pedophile and slapped them on the wrist. Then, to add salt to the wound, they released that slap.

NCAA = Garage League

Even if they didn't want to shut them down completely, this shows why it was very, very stupid of them to lessen the sanctions. Funny thing is: The NCAA could very easily just re-institute sanctions and it would be much worse for PSU than just working through all the sanctions at once. I don't think there is a chance they get a death penalty or crazy additional sanctions, but there is a small chance they at least re-apply the original sanctions.

There is no way to prove any of this. Paterno is a scumbag. But nothing will come of this.
