-Oats wanted money similar to Hurley, but Pitt went cheap. And Oats may have walked away. If that is true, that is pathetic

and Jennifer Aniston has been seen around town with a certain Asia Minor Big Bang Theory co-star.... back to you Tom.....

We will have to overpay anyone due to the circumstance they would be stepping into. This is not a normal situation and any coach will expect more than normal market value for being willing to take it on.

That's the bed we've made.

I agree that we'll probably have to pay more than the going rate, and we should. But that doesn't mean overpaying has to be offering a guy a top 15 salary.

I find it hard to believe it we offered Nate Oats $2 million a year and $1 million for staff that Rhode Island was offering Hurley he wouldn't jump on that in a heart beat.

steel is taking that rumor from the payboard, Matt I believe has mentioned that Oats wanted Hurley money and backed off when Pitt wouldn't offer it to him.

-I dont have pay subscription. My information comes from twitter and other message forums, just like I reported the estimated offer for Hurley from the PC and Rhode Island boards when no one else had it

Why would he leave Buffalo.. to come to this trash heap. Another year of comfort in Buffalo and he will have great opportunities Next year. This program is in Shambles.. Why would ANY Sitting Coach be interested in this Job? It's Career Suicide..
Beat it troll. You are the biggest cancer on this board. You continually called for Dixon to be fired, and now you spew this crap.

"Another year of comfort in Buffalo"...Why congratulations! How often, in the course of human history, does one get to string together six words that could have never been possibly strung together before. Well done good sir!

Nobody’s gonna pay Oats 3 mill a year right now. He was coaching high school ball 4 years ago. Gimme a friggin break.

-And no one wants your boy Schmidt. 2000 fans voted on a poll 45 minutes ago on twitter, 96% dont want Schmidt at Pitt. The other 4% have to be Penn State and West Virginia fans

Now that thars funny I don't care who you are. Buffalo-Pittsburgh, Buffalo-Pittsburgh, coaching in the ACC or coaching where a losing season next year puts you on everybodys do not hire list. HMMMM

He wouldn’t be my choice either dip$hit, but he’s certainly not the bum you and a bunch of other clowns on this board want to believe he is.

Oats won your simple a$$ over with one upset win and some tough talk, before his team got run by UK. Your other boy Musselman went down to a lower seeded mid-major.

Why haven’t you started the Porter Moser bandwagon yet? We can bring Moser and Sister Jean in as a package deal.

All of this is true. And if it doesn't work out for the next coach, he should be okay if he has a hefty buyout. Oh wait... Pitt doesn't like to honor those.

-So of the 3000 votes now on the twitter poll, 94% say he is a bum. Congrats, you caught up 2% in the poll.

Schmidt would be an absolute disaster hire. Worse than Stallings AND we would have paid Stallings an enormous buyout. We hire Schmidt and we have no chance to win 4 total ACC games the next two years. None.

There is no way anyone could possibly want Schmidt over Musselman or Oats. None.

He thinks he has a team next year that will net him bigger offers from better programs. We're in some kind of strange "Friend-zone" with these coaches. Its Musselman or.......well........I don't really know. Is it too late for Miller? Who the hell is left?!?!

Time to call up Mike Rice lol...

At least he’s currently coaching top end AAU talent. Maybe he can bring some of those guys in with him.

& at RMU, he was a hell of a coach. Time for a 2nd chance?

(Probably not, this admin doesn’t have the balls to even call him).
